Fashion tips for new moms

Rather than pretending that she had a baby and “poof!” — she magically returned to her pre-baby bod, belly discreetly draped in forgiving fabrics and secretly stuffed into Spanx, Kate focused on her assets and let herself look like the person she is — someone who just had a baby, but still knows how to look great.

So how do you prepare to look, and feel, your best after baby?

new baby and fashionWhat should you buy for the new mommy in your life? Instead of focusing on a head-to-toe look, invest in some comfy but visitor-friendly basics. Fold over yoga pants in solid black are appropriate to wear when visitors stop by or for a run to the store and make you feel better than living in your pajama pants. Then target some great tops that will work all of those close-up photos of mom and little one. What are your best colors? What necklines work for you? Pair it with some statement earrings or a fab chunky necklace, and you’re photo-ready. Because let’s face it, your best accessory right now is the one in your arms.
